Founded on the principle that personal and public safety is paramount, our organization is committed to providing individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones. Our journey began in 2020, emerging from a unique combination of opportunity and necessity.

Nicole Hughes, the founder, never envisioned that Defensive Training Solutions would be part of her life. Although always passionate about martial arts, she was initially opposed to firearms. However, a life-threatening incident years ago shifted her perspective. Determined not to remain a victim, Nicole educated herself on safe and responsible firearms ownership, uncovering widespread misconceptions and misinformation, as well as non-lethal methods of protection.
The concept for Defensive Training Solutions ignited when Nicole assisted a fellow instructor
with an urgent issue at a shooting range. Leaving a career in finance to lead a company devoted
to enhancing personal and public safety has been transformative and purposeful. Today, our
mission is clear: to offer comprehensive training that empowers individuals and strengthens
community safety.

Our logo holds a deep significance for us at Defensive Training Solutions. As a Safety and Firearms Training Company, the symbols of the shield and the pulse are integral to our identity. However, their meaning extends far beyond their immediate representation. Many of us have experienced the loss of loved ones or endured significant tragedies. While time is said to heal, we never truly forget. Life is invaluable, and our time here is finite. Our logo symbolizes our commitment to protect and survive, urging everyone to fully embrace and cherish life.
