This is an engaging and informative class tailored for women, covering safe handling, firearm fundamentals, handgun selection, situational awareness, legal use of force, and state-specific laws. Additional states (FL, MD*, NJ, VA, and/or UT) can be added with extra charges. Participants will have the opportunity to add states during the class. This class is suitable for both experienced individuals and beginners. Class Description: This class is designed for all experience levels, providing a fun, informative, and engaging environment. Topics covered include safe handling, firearm fundamentals, handgun selection, situational awareness, legal use of force, and state-specific laws. We prepare participants for responsible firearm ownership and use, meeting the criteria for obtaining permits and providing necessary instructions and documentation. Many attendees take this class for education without intending to apply for a concealed carry permit. It's suitable for those interested in firearms for home protection or general knowledge, with some range time included. Range Information: The outdoor range location will be announced in class and is a 10-to-15-minute drive from the class. If weather conditions are not ideal, the range session will be rescheduled. Items Needed for Class: - Firearm (rentals available) - Ammunition (100 rounds) – Available for sale, required to purchase if renting a firearm from us (price depends on caliber) - Extra magazine (recommended but not necessary) - Eye and ear protection – Safety glasses (rent for $10 for both, includes electronic ear protection, or purchase for $40 for both) - VERY IMPORTANT: Baseball style hat/cap or a hat with a brim - Sunblock (recommended) - Bug spray (recommended) - NO OPEN-TOED SHOES - NO V-NECK or LOW-CUT SHIRTS - Bring lunch or be prepared to order lunch (limited nearby options) Note: This class is not just for those seeking a concealed carry permit but also for individuals interested in general firearm education.
