This course covers universal safety rules, firearms basics, shooting fundamentals, handgun choices, ammunition care and storage, and addressing concerns. An optional range-time add-on is also available. This course will cover the following topics: universal safety rules, firearms basics, shooting fundamentals, handgun selection, ammunition care and storage and addressing any concerns anyone may have. This class is a classroom only class, however you can add an hour of range time (additional charges will apply). Please a lot for an hour and a half in addition to the class time. Although the range is not far, there will be a brief amount of time needed to set up at that location. Please note that you do not have to own a firearm to take this class. If you decide to add the range portion onto the class, you can rent a firearm, and we will also provide the ammunition for the firearms that you use (additional charges will apply). The below is ONLY if you are adding the range-time as part of the class. If you are only doing the classroom portion only, please ignore the below. • Firearm (rentals are available) • Ammunition (100 rounds) – Ammunition is available for sale; however, it is ONLY for range qualification. Please note that if you are renting a firearm from us, we will require you to purchase the ammo from us. Price will depend on caliber. • Eye and ear protection – safety style glasses. We have eye and ear protection if you need to rent ($10 for both - includes electronic ear protection) or $40 to purchase (for both eye and electronic ear protection). • VERY IMPORTANT - Baseball style hat/cap or a hat with a brim • Sunblock (recommended) • Bug spray (recommended) • NO OPEN TOED SHOES • NO V-NECK or LOW-CUT SHIRTS
